Tourism Guiding

This qualification equips you to be a competent local guide who can create and conduct short-guided
experiences based on local natural and cultural resources. You will learn to entertain and inform
visitors, providing quality experiences that strengthen the tourism profession and the industry as a
whole.

1. Lead Tours: Conduct a short, guided experience in a specific area that both entertains and educates tourists.

2. Interpret Heritage: Present a holistic, balanced view of both the natural and cultural heritage of a site.

3. Ensure Safety: Apply basic safety and emergency procedures during tours.


4. Evaluate Performance: Monitor, reflect on, and improve the content and performance of the
guided experience.

1. Site Guide (Guiding within a limited geographical area or specific site)
2. Local Tour Assistant

5. Porter (with guiding knowledge)
